Note on 75 ohm Cable match twin lead transformers:

We found common twin lead 75 ohm match transformers will reduce AM performance by 80%. They were designed for standard cable,off air TV and FM frequency's.They will weaken your AM signal gain.

In USA ,many AM stations boost there signal strength after sun set.This is why distant Am stations are easier to receive at night time verse day.Hey!, its do the sun.You still need a better antenna that is directional to receive local or distant stations clearly.

In many cases ,you can still receive that distant station in day time.

Static can be caused by power lines or weather.Station drifting can be caused by atmospheric conditions,aircraft,sun spots etc.
